Hi, hello. As the site name might suggest, I go by Uygar. I’m a senior year student at a Turkish university, named the Çukurova University.

I’ve been programming since the latter end of middle school and used to make small text-based story-games with a friend of mine back then. It’s not much but it sure got the ball rolling.

My interest in the lower-level side of things began with a Minecraft mod, “decimation”. I regrettably wanted to cheat despite the anticheat in it and so was I exposed to the JVM bytecode. Since then, I’ve dabbled in emulators and whatnot.

Ich kann ein bisschen Deutsch und lerne es gerade selbst. Vielleicht nicht gut genug, um ein anspruchvolles Gespräch zu halten, aber gut genug um deutsche Übersetzungen japanischer “Light-Novels” zu lesen. Das Gerät, womit ich diese Light-Novels lese, ist das Gerät, worüber ich in einem Beitrag hier geschrieben hatte.

While my homeserver and laptop run NixOS, this server is but a humble ARM machine running Ubuntu hosted by Hetzner. I absolutely love NixOS but a) I don’t yet understand it enough to write about it on this website and b) can’t run it on this server due to the limited disk space.

This document is currently being edited with Neovim, and I do all my work using it. Neovim is also among those programs I absolutely love. You can find my config (which is a single file with LazyVim) here.
